What it means

Some mixtures like pastry, biscuit mix and bread dough are rather sticky. If you try to roll them flat they will stick to the rolling pin and to the surface you put them on. However, if you sprinkle some flour over the board and rolling pin before you use them, the mix sticks to the flour and not to the utensils. If the mix startes to stick to things again, sprinkle a little more flour onto the board.
